If you
selected the Flex option when booking a SMART or BEST fare, you can cancel your
flight before, and online check-in closes before departure at no additional
charge. There are four ways to do this:

at their airport counter
With
the Flex option, it is also possible to cancel a flight after the original
departure time has passed, if the cancellation is on the same calendar day as
the original flight departure, or by phone through the call center, or go
to the airport counter in person. If the flight is canceled after the original
departure date, then will incur a fee
If you
have selected another fare, your booking cannot be canceled due to the low
price of the flight. But you still have the option to change your name and sell
your flight to someone else. Read below to learn how.
Can I
change my EL AL reservation?
Yes!
These rules will depend on your fare, origin, and destination.
Ticket fare rules:
If you booked a flight using the Flex
option, you can make changes to your flight online using your mobile phone before
the scheduled departure time of the affected flight, by phone, or in person at
an airport counter until web check-in closes. on the same calendar day as the
original flight departure call center or in person at the airport counter if you
cancel your flight after the original departure date, will incur a fee
Please
note that if you change flight dates online, it will only be done within the
same fare. If you want to upgrade your fare (eg from BASIC to SMART), you can
do so by phone or at the airport counter 72 hours before departure.
Departure
and Destination Rules:
Unfortunately,
it is not possible to change bookings via the El Al cancellation policy on the following routes: Frankfurt is Main (FRA) to
Mauritius (MRU), Barbados (BGI), Windhoek (WDH) return flights, and Las Vegas
(LAS) and Munich (MUC) to and from Bangkok (BKK). Please contact EL AL Call
Centre.
How do I change my EL AL reservation?

Log in to My Flights using your username and password and there you will find a summary of the flights you have booked.

Select the flight you want to change.

Enter a new flight date.
You can
then change your flight by paying a . and pay the fare difference for the new
flight date if necessary
Can I
change the name on my EL AL reservation?
Yes! If
you are flying with EL AL, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Please
find below the cost for your relevant fare type.
What if
I don't know who to transfer to? You can list your reservations on

Low
fares, Low Fare+, and Premium tickets can be canceled within 4 hours of
booking, and you will receive a refund. If it's more than 4 hours after you
purchased your flight, you can still cancel your ticket, but you won't get a
refund. Flex and Premium Flex tickets will be fully refunded if you cancel or
do not use your flight. You can cancel your reservation online up to 30 minutes
before departure.
EL AL
Cancellation Protection
If you
have purchased Cancellation Protection, you will receive a full EL AL ticket
refund if you or a next of kin become ill and are unable to travel. £9 per
person per booking. It can only be ordered online at EL AL
Airlines official website when
you book your ticket and cannot be added to an existing booking. So if
you haven't purchased it, you can't add it now.
How to
use Cancellation protection
is only
available if you or a close relative is sick and unable to travel. If a family
member becomes ill, you will need to present original medical proof to apply
for a refund and proof of family relationship. EL AL does not cover flights canceled
for the following medical reasons: examinations, treatment and/or
admission, and elective surgery planned before your flight was booked.
How do I request a refund from EL AL?
To request a refund, you will need:

Call EL AL to cancel your ticket 30 minutes before departure Contact the Center

Send them an original medical certificate from your doctor stating the nature of your illness on the relevant travel dates

Send them your family relationship documents (if applicable)

Once El AL reservations has received these documents, the refund will be transferred to the card used to book the flight.
Submitting
a claim to EL AL online
Now
that you know what to do, you can submit your claim online.
Can I change my EL AL flight?
If you
cannot use your current ticket and want to fly EL AL again in the foreseeable
future, you can change the date and time of your ticket online, as well as
change the destination of your ticket up to 30 minutes before your scheduled
departure time.
