EL AL Airlines flight and get a refund?

if you decide to cancel your entire booking or cancel tickets for individual passengers in your party EL AL does not offer any refunds.

 

Don't despair, you still have options! To be precise, there are two options - you can consider changing the name on the booking to someone else who can travel in your place, or you can change the travel dates. The only thing you cannot change is the departure airport or the destination airport. You can find more information in the section titled "Can I change my EL AL flight?" and "Can I change the name on my El AL reservations?".

Can I change the date of my EL AL flight?

 Yes, you can change the date and time of your EL AL flight. 

·         Changes should be made online at www. El Al Airlines.com Up to 5 hours before the original departure time
               

·         In person at the departure sales desk at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time
               

·         Go through their call center at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure time
               

·         How much does it cost to change the date of an EL AL flight?

After check-in, you can only change your reservation through the call center. El Al cancellation policy does not allow any requests to change your origin or destination. If you want to change these by rebooking, it's like canceling your current ticket. 

Can I change the name on my EL AL reservation?

Yes! If you are flying with EL AL, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. This means you can get a flight refund by selling the flight to someone else.

 

You have the right to change your name once per booking, you only pay an administration fee of £35 per person per flight each way. For each additional or subsequent name change, you must pay the following amendment fees:

·         An administration fee of GBP 35 per person for one way flight
               

·         The difference between the original booking and the price applicable to the new booking, if any
               
 Please also note that any discounts you have on the original fare will no longer apply and you will be charged an additional fee if you make changes.
               

If you have a genuine misspelling of up to 4 letters, you can contact EL AL by phone or email, and they will update your name for free. If you change up to 3 letters, you can do it online. Note that a free name change will only consider genuine mistakes, not person changes.

Can I cancel my EL AL flight?

No, unfortunately. EL AL tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable. 

 

Some exceptions may be due to:

1. Medical reasons

2. Death of a passenger or immediate family

3. Schedule changes or delays of 3 hours or more

 

All refunds are subject to review by Customer Service and may be extended in the form of an EL AL travel voucher rather than a refund in your bank account. 

 

 

Can I change my EL AL flight?

You can change the date and time of your El Airlines Business Class, but not the destination, up to four hours before your scheduled flight departure, subject to the following conditions:

·         your flight is not part of any interline itinerary;
               

·         If the new fare is lower, the fare difference will not be refunded;
               

·         If the new fare is higher, the fare difference must be paid;
               

·         If your original booking was part of a "2 in 2 out" or similar promotion, the flight/date change must apply to all guests in the reservation;
               

·         If your booking includes a promo code, discounts on all flights in the booking will be canceled retroactively. Any fare difference between the discount and the original prevailing fare will apply as the promotional code is only valid for the booking period of the promotion;
               

·         Change of destination is not allowed. You will need to rebook, and the amount paid for the original booking will be forfeited.
               

·         You can make changes to your reservation via Fly El Al Airlines’ check-in, the El Al Airlines mobile app, or through their call center. Standard fees will apply. Please refer to the airline fee schedule. Fees vary depending on where you fly from, how you cancel and how long you fly.

Can I change the name on my EL AL reservation?
